The wooden backgammon board Sage Snap draws every position on
Every position you photograph is drawn on this board.

How it works

Three taps, about twelve seconds

From opening the app to the verdict, at the recommended level. The fastest level answers in about a second.

  1. Snap

Point your phone at the board from above and take the picture. The camera shows a framing guide; a photo already in your library works too.

  2. Check the read

The position appears on a wooden board. Switch between the board and your photo to confirm it; a misread point is fixed with a tap, and so are the dice and the cube.

  3. Show Me

One tap runs the engine behind Backgammon Sage Pro on the position and gives you one answer: the best play, or the right cube decision, in plain words.

What you get

One answer, in plain words

Checker play on the board

Arrows show the best move on the board, with the alternatives ranked beneath it and each one judged in a word.

Cube decisions in a sentence

Double or hold, take or pass: the verdict is one sentence you can repeat at the table, with the numbers behind a tap.

Your snaps, kept and shareable

Every snap is saved to your account, so it is there on any phone you sign in on. Share one with a link; a friend with the app gets their own copy, and anyone else sees the board.

Seven languages

English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Turkish and Japanese. The app follows the language of your phone.
